Is the FE exam difficult?

The word “difficult” is relative, however many would agree that the FE exam is difficult if you don't prepare appropriately for it.  The FE Exam covers hundreds of topics, therefore it is imperative that you:

1. Choose the exam with that matches your knowledge base best.  Please refer here for a list of the available tests.
2. Study the NCEES FE Exam Reference Handbook rigorously. 
3. Be able to categorize problems quickly, that way, you can access the appropriate equations and knowledge as soon as you read the question.
