Does it matter which FE exam I take?

No - with respect to the road to becoming a professional engineer, it does not matter which FE exam you choose.  

However, you should choose the subject matter with which you are most comfortable.  You have the following options:

• Chemical
• Civil
• Electrical and Computer
• Environmental
• Industrial and Systems
• Mechanical
• Other Disciplines

The “Other Disciplines” option is ideal if you have more of a general engineering education.
